My filmmaking journey goes way back to camcorders and staged magic tricks, before I even knew that what I was doing was 'filmmaking'. The need to create has always been there, and the medium of film was the one that came most naturally to me.

And, simply, I have just always loved telling stories.

Over the years, I have acquired a rich experience and skillset across a diverse range of filmmaking projects; from narrative short films through to fly-on-the-wall education-based documentary work. Both collaboratively and independently, my portfolio has been built through a drive to explore and build within creative productions and push the limit of each and every project. I have co-founded and co-directed two specialist production companies: City Projections and Northern Bloom Weddings. These two companies were founded off the back of creative collaborations with fellow filmmakers during my time on the Film Production course at Salford University, from which I graduated with a First Class BA(Hons) degree having worked on seven short film productions as a Producer, Director, Writer, Sound Engineer and Camera Op (not all at the same time, of course...)

Beyond this, I am a writer - spending the lump sum of my free time working on screenplays, stage plays and an array of short-form writing pieces. A lot of these pieces often stay protected in the pages of a closed notepad, but I am always developing and polishing written work with a view of getting it out into the world upon completion. My High School English teacher once told me that I "write in a weird way". It's still one of the best compliments I've ever received.
